CUBIC GATR 1.8m inflatable flyaway satellite antenna is a rapidly deployable SATCOM uplink solution designed for military, government, and expeditionary communications. Developed by
CUBIC, this system combines a lightweight inflatable reflector with a transportable flyaway configuration to deliver reliable satellite connectivity in austere environments. Its compact footprint, fast setup time, and proven performance make it ideal for tactical communications, disaster response, and mobile command operations requiring dependable satellite uplink capability.
This is a complete mobile broad-band satellite uplink capable of supporting voice – data- imagery and video communications world wide. Depending on the configuration, it can broadcast and receive across different bands to include Ka; Ku, and C frequencies. The unit is robust and very easy to use- even for someone that is not familiar with the operation of a satellite uplink. If necessary, a complete unit may be consolidated into two wheeled pelican cases for easy transport. The other cases contain spares and ancillary equipment and do not necessarily have to be transported with the operational unit. We have five (5) complete units remaining in stock and a spare antenna if required.
CUBIC GATR 1.8m Inflatable Flyaway SATCOM Antenna units are used extensively by the Department of Defense, FEMA and within the Intelligence community as the 1.8 meter (6 foot) wide dish is inflatable and provides for quick deployment and removal; or for long term installation if required. This inflatable antenna is unique to CUBIC corporation as it not only saves on weight, it eliminates the cumbersome, heavy and fragile aluminum antenna / dish panels associated with other systems. The unit can support live video feeds as well as voice and data communications (Internet feed).
The units are multi-voltage and are designed for use virtually anywhere, to include battery power. This is truly an outstanding broad-band satellite uplink that would be perfect for use in places like Afghanistan where communications might be tenuous. The complete unit will fit in the trunk of a car or even under a bed or in a closet.
