CUBIC | GATR has revolutionized the portable SATCOM industry with its patented, inflatable communications terminal. The GATR’s unique antenna design, an inflatable radome and flexible parabolic reflector mounted at the equator, enables deployment of a 2.4-meter satellite terminal in as few as two airline checkable cases weighing less than 100 lbs. (45.4 kg) each. This reduces pack-out weight and volume by up to 80% compared to deployable rigid antennas, making it ideal for first-in deployments, remote applications and contingency scenarios where transportation and space are limited.
